HEEELP, cant boost more than 6psi!!!!!!!!
guys, I have proper fuel enrichment and timing in my greddy powered 95 d16z6
GReddy kit with BLACK (yes, black) box
If I boost more than 6 psi the CEL comes on
Can it be the MAP sensor reading too much voltage??? even when I think the black box prevents that?
Please help me, I cant wait to boost my *** off

I think the box is only good to around 6 lbs? Not a Greddy expert, but you might need to add a missing link.

are you guys sure?
cause the black box has a wire to the map (I think that wire is to prevent the map from reading positive pressure voltage)

Fix it the cheap way - missing link, or a whole bunch of check valves.
The expensive but sure way, do it electronically - Greddy FCD, or a ClampLink (like i'm using) - no check valves, no "missing link" - works well, and is easily tunable too (as to the maximum voltage the map sensor should send to the ECU).

Re: HEEELP, cant boost more than 6psi!!!!!!!! (nathan's boosted civic)
you need to put a check valve in the vacuum line that goes to the MAP sensor, the honda MAP will set off that light if it see boost over 6si

Do yourself a favor, ditch the black box. Stick with either the GReddy blue box, or go with a manual setup, but get away from the black box.
