Default Which headgasket for rebuild?

So I got most of my parts for my rebuild. Wisco Pistons, rings, eagle rods, arp headstuds, acl bearings,, etc. But would like to know which brand (OEM, or not)headgasket to get. Or if anyone recommends a blockgaurd and which one.
This is all on an LS

Golden Eagle offers head gaskets from 81mm to 85mm. Let me know if you need one.

I am looking for people with experience with a certain kind of HG, like cometic for instance.

Ben, thanks for shipping so quick.

Is the setup going to be full LS or LS Vtech? If LS vtech I would use the cometic gasket that is designed just for that. i have one in stock at an 81.5 mm if you need it. Let me know

the OEM head gasket is cometic isnt it?? anyway, the OEM gasket will work just fine. As for the block guard, don't use it unless you install it right. you cant just pound them in like most people do, it needs to be lower on the sleeve, and welded in. One alternative to a BG is block posting. Here is a link to help you out.

Remember some quality head studs to keep the head in place.

According to Stan at inlinepro, Nothing beats an OEM part. He has used OEM head gasket's and head studs up to 600+whp before. OEM would be the way to go, thats whats being use on my Built LS also

so here is a question. I am going to bore my block .5mil over for my 81.5m pistons. I have heard a stock HG will work fine with that bore. Am I right?

i have heard countless times that stock hg is fine at 81.5, i think some cars came from honda with that slight overbore, even.
