Default Headgasket..Compression. can i do it?!

hey guys, currently i have 11:8 wiseco pistons on eagle H-beam rods in my gsr..

i plan on turboing it next month, question is. Would I be able to buy a thick headgasket to lower my compression enough to be able to boost it? I'm lookin at putting 300-350 whp to the ground. With that power level, would my pistons, compression and a thick headgasket be okay to do? Taking in that many guys with stock GSR blocks put a thick headgasket in and put down 350+ whp..

Yes I understand it's cutting a corner, but if it can be done fine i'll try it out..

please no thread whoring... i know in a way this is sort of a bad idea but i'm seeing if it's plausible

Assuming it's stock bore you'd have to run like a 0.080" headgasket to bring it down to flat tops compression. Gonna burn pretty funky, but I guess it can be done.

even if you get it down to 11:1 it would be better

the block has stock sleeves, it's bored to 81.5 with a block guard, the hot tanking and bore-ing was done after the guard was installed so it was seated right..

but with a 300-350whp power level, would i run a big risk of blowing out a .080 headgasket?

with a 0.060 headgasket, the zeallot's calculator said i'll be around 10:8-11:2 with my compression right now..

i think i'm gonna give it a try and see what happens, would my high comp pistons will it not burn efficient in the combustion chamber?
