Default Head Work w/ SuperTech Forced Induction

So im peicing together my full rebuild. Already have my fully built block, now its time for head work. I own a GSR head with SLIGHTLY worked ports, more like a gasket job. Well to make a long story short, I need a valvetrain for this head. So Ferrerra and Supertech have been my 2 options.....

I understand Supertech is new, Ferrea is a known name, someone told me if i get Ferrera im paying just for the name.

This is going on a forced induction set up, over 500hp. It will be running on a 83mm bore. I need the best valvetrain possible for forced induction. Im not going to port the head, I will be pretty much just putting new springs, valves, retainers.

So those of you running one of these valvetrains, how many miles are on your builds, how high is your redline?

Someone told me Supertech valve springs are not good for forced induction.

Input please people.

Cliff Notes:
Supertech Vs. Ferrera when it comes to forced induction.

500whp. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. Either one will work more than fine for over 600hp. I've had about 5 setups in that direction

Did you run full Supertech Valvetrain? Someone was telling me negatvies about Supertech's valve springs for forced induction. Although ive heard good things about thier valves and rerainers.

The Farrea valvetrain comes with keepers SuperTech doesn't.I've heard the type r keepers are better to use than the GSR's with the SuperTech valvetrain.I don't have any experience with either but I'm in the same situation with a 500+ motor build.I know either would work but I'd like to hear more about this also.

i have the full supertech valvetrain on my hatch, over 500whp then i cracked a sleeve. reved to 9800 last year. this coming year, i had the head refreshed and still running the same supertech setup. next year i plan to push it over 600whp with the new block. my head is pretty much stock with .5mm oversized valves with ITR cams and that's it.

SuperTech's should be fine for your setup mainly because turbo cars don't use aggressive cams.

Whoever told you that Supertechs are not good for forced induction is a moron. Either of the two will work fine. You do pay a little more for Ferrea, I don't know if they are worth the extra $$$. Definitely can't go wrong with either though. Like I told you in your other post, we have had nothing but good luck with Supertech valvetrain, with around 800 whp, a huge turbo, and huge cams.

IM Earl and ask him about the Supertech valvetrain .

They use them in their race car wich goes low 9`s in the 1/4 mile and they see 10K+ rpms in ther setup

I bought the whole set of springs , retainers and valves and I am running them in my boosted TypeR motor and so far so good

I run SuperTech Valve Train.

10K Revs on a regular Basis.
Over 700whp

I have nothing but good things to say about Supertech.
