is ther a such thing as a SAFE self tuneable ems?
i live in alaska so there really is no choice but to have my car shipped south to get a tune i have yet to find a simple/semi difficult ems to tune with
so is there a such thing as an ems that i can easily and safely tune myself?
money is not an object my investment is though

Re: (AbitAvenger)
as long as you buy a good wideband o2 sensor that has datalogging features and you know the basics of tuning and understand the afr's. and talk to some people to find a good "safe" limit for your setup as far as timing goes. you should be fine with uberdata. alot of people on here tune their own setup with it.

I should be more specific. Anything that will self-tune based on a target AFR table. Setting target AFR's is easy, as most people understand that running 12:1 AFR in boost is safe, and 14-15:1 AFR in vacuum is safe. The hard part is setting the VE or pulsewidth tables, since every engine combination will be different. With self-tune from AFR tables, though, this will all get filled in to accurately maintain the safe AFR.
Knock sensor input makes tuning the timing safe. Take a timing map from the countless Uberdata and Chrome users, and just rely on the fact that if you get close to detonation, the knock sensor will retard timing and save the motor.
