ported ls head vs vtec head
car(ls) is going on boost but i want to know which is better for the money. spend $4-500 to have the ls head ported or spend 5-600 for vtec head swap.

i had the same problem i have a ls head that was going to be p&p for a ls-t set-up that i was set on doing but i came across a good deal on a gsr head($300 with arp head studs) figured if you have the money for the vtec head get it..later p&p it. you will be one step ahead meaning you have that more of a foundation.
In my opinion i would stick with LS head and use that money to tune the turbo perfectly.. With the right setup and engine managment...Youll see enough gains with the Ls head/turbo setup.....
Forced induction loves any head design, up the boost and it'll make power regardless...
I wouldnt even port the Ls head..Ive seen sevaral single cams, Ls's make alot of power with stock port, im talking 250-450 Hp...
head porting for turbo is not critical like for AllMotor power...

I personally would get a vtec head rather then port an ls head.it may cost more if you need to get cams,int-exh manifolds, etc also, but you'll be better off in the long run imo.
