Default Head work on F/I?

I may have to pull the head off my Type R and wondering what exactly the benefits(assuming it's beneficial) to getting a 5 angle valve job, and get the intake and exhaust ports ported and polished? I can get the work done professionally and VERY cheap through a good friend of mine that has done a ton of work for me previously.
Is there any thing else I need? New valves or are stock ITR ok? Should I bother with new springs and/or retainers? I never plan on raising the stock Rev limit or anything of that nature.
Oh and FWIW it's going back on my turbo ITR that will only run 7-8psi.
Thanks for any info.

I would like info on this as well.

The only thing i've heard about turbo heads is that you will gain power if you are bosting HIGH PSI, somebody once said more than 15 PSI, i don't know if any of that is true, but it kinda sounds logical.

Any heads workers want to add or change something?
