head studs w/ sleeved block
which head studs are the best to use w/ a gsr block sleeved w/ darton sleeves 84mm. I have heard a few bad things about arp and sleeved blocks and that they always have to be torqued like every month on a daily driver. I havent heard any bad things about aebs but i havent heard enough people using them either. I heard arp makes the best rod bolts, too. is that true? can somebody give me a few pointers

Re: head studs w/ sleeved block (Big Josh)
whoever told you this needs to be slapped.
only reasons they would fail is if the sleeves were installed wrong. You SHOULD torque down the bolts again after you have driven the car for a few hundred miles, but thats it. No need to re-torque every month.
And most aftermarket rods come with ARP rod bolts, so I'd say they are good

Re: head studs w/ sleeved block (TurboDANDEE)
yup, what they said
you do it just to make sure the new nuts don't back off and so they seat properly.
It's like when you get new rims and new lugnuts they tell you to come back in 50 miles so they can re-torque em...same thing applies here.

Does anybody know of a website that has an install process of the head studs like cspeedracing.com or something like that? or what section of the helms, if its in there. Thanks.

Re: head studs w/ sleeved block (LonelyDriver02)
all head studs installs from V8 to std 4 cyl are pretty much the same. All have the smae torque sequence start from the center work your way out. cris crossing.
AEBS instructions that i got from there studs were very detailed but any good installer should know the basics of installing a head.
