Default hack question

i am using the vafc to do the hack and i have 450cc blue top injectors...now the car idles shitty and runs the same with the 450cc injectors so i put the stocks back in(i have the resistor box installed). i checked my codes and i am throwing a map sensor code(3) so i figured i need a missing link...is there anything else that could fix this

let me know if u need more info

the whole point of the hack is to decrease the map voltage so the ecu doesnt see boost. this is why you use larger injectors because if you subtract fuel (enough to not throw a cel) with stock injectors you will be to lean...and boom. i bet your car is running like **** because your fuel settings are fucked up, i would mess around with the vafc, you will eventually find the right numbers where your cars runs decent.

if not you will need the missing link to bleed to boost from the map sensor

yeah while the injectors were in i leaned out the vafc in narrow throttle to -50 to -30 and it ran more and more rich as i added more fuel. then i went back to -50 and it still ran badly...i guess ill need a missing link

what is your setup, i would only reccommend the stock injectors on a very mild setup. for reference my numbers look something like (from memory)

both hi and lo
1K-40
2K-40
3K-39
4K-39
5K-38
6K-38
7K-37
8k-37

this is at 11psi with rc 440's and a walbro pump

hope u work it out soon. if not u'll prbbly end up blowing ur motor.

instal all ur parts and have it tuned on a dyno. you can get decent results with a V-AFC.

I never could get the hack to work on my 2001 gsr. I took away as much fuel as possible and it was still running rich as hell and my map was throwing a code w/ the missing link.

thats what I did when I had the hack, my missing link was defective and leaking air, also check to see if you are leaking air out of your map sensor. mine idle'd bad when when i used the -50% across the board. you should have no trouble with idle'ing 450cc injectors on the hack.
