Then at 15psi at 8000rpm.

Different motors have different base timing. So there needs to be more qualifying information.

OK,
10-1 comp motor, 10 psi , 8000rpms, Type R cams, 1.9L displacement. Pump gas, Intake temp around 160deg F....
What kind of timming do you run.....14 deg, 18 deg, 20 deg??? etc.
Just need it for refrence.....

 

14 degrees at idle can you get up to 20lbs on race gas and 14lbs on pump..but that's with 93 oct. With 91, 10-11lbs with 14-15 degrees.

If base timing is 16.5 I will end up with about 20degrees advance at 8k, 10PSI full load.

on all the turbo cars i work on... i use the "for every 1 lbs of boost i back it off .5 degrees"...

 

on 20lbs we run about 26 degrees full timing on race gas.
