I don't think the jackson supercharger would fit in ur H22aCivic because it'll end up hittin the firewall. Someone back me up on this one. Turbo might work just take out the a/c, powersteering, cruise, and heater and I think it'll fit fine. Turbo in my opinion is coo for a h22a1 just make sure sleeve it before u drop in a turbo because the h22a1 aren't very boost happy when u don't sleeve it. Then again I kno a couple of h22a1 that are running 6-8 psi on a all stock motor as well. But if I were you I would spend the extra dollars on sleeving the motor. Hope this helps.

what they said and if you run into problems with the s/c it will be a lot more expensive to fix than the turbo.
you can always sell a rebuildable turbo and get another one relatively cheaply but those j.racing s/c's like to tear the teflon off the screws and that my friend is expensive to strip down and redo....
although the s/c will make more power down low than a turbo ever will and for an H22 (the honda torque monster...if you want to call it that) is basically the only engine that will benefit greatly from the boost in this area.

not really, you dont start making decent power until 2.5k in the powerband.
screw type s/c will make power from idle to 5k.
still, just a trade-off...

Look at all the JRSC dyno's here please. The Turbo car makes more power and more torque.
I mean, torque or whp at 3000rpm is pretty useless unless spinning the tires is what you want. This thing ain't a Mustang where you need to make full power down low. it's a H22...
Look at 5000rpm, the turbo has a lot more power and a butt load more torque.
Sure he's got 12psi, but with lower PSI on a smaller turbo..it would be even better.

That is ALMOST signature material
When are you driving UNDER 2k? Just curious. 5k, 6k, I can understand maybe...but not making power until 2k justifies "no low end"?
I hate to say it, but lets not beat this turbo vs sc over and over...some of us have posted plots with our experiences, its all within the search feature!
The question you need to find out for sure is, will it fit or not...if it doesnt fit for sure, you dont have a decision to make at all.

Maybe the question should be.......How long are you under 2K? How much time do you spend under 2K?
When you are accelerating....HOW MUCH TIME ARE YOU ACTUALLY UNDER 2K???
That's right, a fraction of a second..so what does it matter?

Crap man, anything below that is prectically idle on a HONDA..
dont be silly, I'm sure that you know that hondas dont make the mad crazy lowend power.

When your sitting at a stoplight?
Yep, you are right.
Guess what? I stay even with my buddy's 650whp Supra at a stoplight...its pretty much because his bigass turbo gives him a terrible powerband, no power under 2k! Can you believe it? We're even until he hits the gas...then damn! But oh well, at least we're even until we start moving!
This is going downhill...
