JRSC on H22 swapped EG??? Would it fit??
Just thinking about the future... I know its tight, so does anyone know if a JRSC for an H22a would fit in an EG-H22 swap without firewall cutting or rerouting anything??

Ya, I'm just thinkin about all my options. I like low end which is why I'm keeping the SC in mind. Turbo is definitely in the running...

Well, besides the fact that it would be very close (if not touching or even no room at all... never really seen a H22 JRSC so I can't say how big it is), the other main issue you're going to run into is the driver side shock tower. All mount kits place the motor in there in such a way (only way actually) where the clearance between the valve cover and shock tower is very minimal to none at all (usually 1-2 inches of clearance on a good mount kit). So unless you cut the frame away on the shock tower to make room for the belt, then it's not do-able with zero modifications in a Civic. Now, a turbo fits nicely in there with lots of room to spare (at least with the HCP kit, as I've seen 3 and worked on 1)

Thanks for the info. A turbo would probably be easiest to install. Besides, the JRSC kit is made for the 97+ USDM H22 and I'm getting the 93-96 JDM. Ya, probably turbo...

wtf!? with my hcp kit i sure as hell dont get 1-2 in. on the valve cover side of the shock tower!? when i first put it in it actually rubbed! now with a few adjustments on the mounts its about a 1/4 in. from the tower!?

You have an EK, and with the stock gel-filled mount, the weight of the H22 compresses it slightly, thus bringing your car lower on the driver side ever so sligthly (not noticable to the eye) just enough to make the clearance from the timing belt cover to the shock tower even less. If you use a solid driver side mount (like on an EG), then the motor will hold in there nice & firmly - if you want one of the HCP EK driver side mounts, hit me up

idiot.
I know of a guy running a jrsc on his H22 eg hatch.
He's in the 11's with slicks, and the car still drives like any other stock Honda.
So to answer your question, yes it will fit.
And to those who say "turbo good, supercharger baaaaad" like the sheep you are, please, just stop. They're different methods of boosting, and both have their pros and cons.

Is it a black eg? I seen pictures of a black eg with the jrsc.

I've seen it done, but like I said in my other post, there was a lot of cutting needed in order to clear the belts & pullies. Too much work when you can just slap on a turbo (reroute the IC piping so it's cleaner) or run a big shot of NOS, if you really want to go fast with some FI.

As for a h22 running 11s? No way, SC prelude makes 230 whp if lucky....ive heard rumors of 9psi modified setups making 250 but its way way rare.....doesnt it take more than 230 whp to run 11s?

I'm with newman, as far as I know it takes a lot of cutting to clear the belts. As well, the sc isn't nearly as good as turbo (lack of intercooling). As well, if your going to spend the money go all out, get something adjustable (turbo). Good luck.

Heh, exactly. Before my H22 EG hatch, I had a turbo B20 setup in there and it was fun, but not as fun as an all-motor setup, hence I went H22. Now I'm itching for another turbo kit, but this time probably on my Integra a CRX, but me personally, I wouldn't want to turbo my H22 EK hatch since I want to enjoy the all motor feel of it. Heh, like what most people say, "once you go turbo, there's no turning back."

Re: (ya2civic)
Hells yeah post pics, times, and setup. I am interested in hearing what boosted h22/hybrids are running to see if its worth doing it in the future.. If you want to shar personal experience with the whole thing that is welcome as well..
