when you sleeve i would go with stock bore simply because... if u **** ur **** up you can bore it out and get bigger pistons... if you bore it like 90 mm then when it ***** up your block is trashed

with golden sleeve i've been told that you can go to 89mm for boosted engine with no problem, so that's what i'll do, and that may be the max you want to go!

91mm max bore NA cars only
89mm max bore FI, with headgasket problems

keep it under 88mm, you can make more power elsewhere

EDIT: only go .5mm above stock (87mm) if you want a rebore out of it, you could probably go higher, but whats the point? Half a mm is how big?? 15 thousandths?

Can't you just replace the sleeves?

so would there be a noticable difference while boosting (spool time) between 87mm vs. 89mm using a t4 turbo? what's the displacement of a h22 going to 89mm?

yea i know there's gonna be lag, i have no intention to race on the streets. my thoughts were to prove h22 have a part in the turbo community in making hp.
