h-t afc hack info
Dannnnng..... this thread is still alive?
.... I dont recommend using this anymore since there are at least 2-3 free systems out there now. If there is any consolation, I ran the AFC hack for 3 years on my stock D16Y8 turbo at 10 psi. Never had an issue. The motor blew but not because of the hack. The oil pan cracked and was leaking oil.... so it ran dry for a few days. Didnt realize it cuz there was so much snow and ice on the ground.

I keep reading people talking about how uberdata and crome are "free". This isnt the case for me, as the nearest dyno tuning place that could tune on either of those platforms is over two hours away from me. It would also cost money for me to have my ecu socketed to read uberdata. I will be running the AFC hack on my B16T setup with Walboro 255, stock fpr, dsm 450s, and a vafc until I have the ability to get it tuned

He near you at all or is that who you are saying is 2+ hours away? I bet you could chip your own ecu and have someone street tune it no problem

yup, F1
its more than two hours away
plus, I dont want to spend lots of cash on a tune when I need new internals anyway, running CTR pistons because it was originally a NA application. Only shooting for 5psi for right now.

i personaly dont run VAFCs and recomend to most of my customers to removed and sell them. For the money you spent on all these things you could've just bought a chipped out p28 and some injectors and would've been good
Any place that can program hondata should beable to program a crome / uberdata setup with out any problems as they are similar. A tuned p28 will be much more reliable then a VAFC. But hey what ever works

i guess im bringing this back from the dead as well. im running a h23 turbo in my accord. i too have the afc. my car runs rich as hell at idle 9.5-10.4 on the wideband. runs strong until 3k-4k thats when i feel a hestiation and stumpling. then after that the check engine light comes on. then from 4k and up it pulls hard as hell. 15.7 a/f the most. then the manifold get red hot. im going to changing to the DSM injectors cuz i have a set at home. this is the greatest.
I WILL TRY Laim set up and see what happens
93 USDM H23

APEXI S-AFC
MSD 6BTM
B&M FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
WALBRO 255LPH FUEL PUMP

yes you need a resistor box for the DSM injectors^^^^
well i changed my settings like Laim had his but a lil less. I ran 100% better but its throwing a CEL. most it wil run is 14.7 ish at WOT. then im leaving my girls house and it wont take off. so i ended up putting -16% at low and high throttle. before i had the throttle setting at 98% low and 99% high. then switched to 40% and 50% off i went. but still throws a cel. only boosting 5lbs for now. still using the 310cc?

dude you need dsm 450 or any aftermarket 440cc injectors to run the hack. thats why your getting a check engine light. you dont have the afc scaled back far enough to pull the map voltage down.
6in 6 out
wow

what is the a/f ratio when it runs like ****? its not going to automatically tune itself when you do 6in6out.
what are your fuel settings?

Ok, I'm considering using this for my setup as a temp fix until I can afford Hondata. I'll be running...
T3/To4E .57 trim .63 A/R
Peakboost Version 1 manifold
DSM 450's
Walbro 255LPH Hi-pressure fuel pump
Aeromotive FPR
Apex'i V-AFC
TiAL BOV and External Wastegate
Turbo XS boost controller set to 8psi
FMIC'd
AEM UEGO wideband, Autometer Boost and Oil PSI gauges
...also considering buying MSD Boost Master Ignition box.
???
The kit isn't installed yet, will be going on an H22.
Will this work for me?
From my understanding all I have to do is set the fuel trims as Liam says in the first post, run the MAP unlimited, set the fuel pressure to 40psi. I'm just using this as a temporary fix until I can get S300 here in a month or so. I don't expect to make gobs of power but after Hondata I plan for around 300whp or so.

WOW...i didnt think people still ran this set-up..I did the AFC hack about 2 years ago...It did its job though i have to say. But i agree, loads of free EM out there. Just gotta learn to mess with the programs and a wideband if no dyno
