When do you upgrade injectors?
I have a b18b that is still in turbo dream land while I'm slowly buying parts. Anyways, I'm not looking to run high boost (10 @ most on stock internals) At what point do I need to upgrade the injectors and would dsm 450's be the right choice? Also, what is a SMC and what is it used for? And what is the AFC hack and what is it for? I keep reading about this "blue box", doesn't seem like it worth the trouble since all I hear is negative. And yes I have searched. That's why I don't have as many questions as I did about 3 hours ago.

at 10psi u will want some new injectors the dsm 450s are great and would be fine and very cheap. also the smc controls the map sensor output to the ecu to control the amout of fuel the bigger injectors will add. its a great device and very inexpensive im selling mine for 125shipped if your interested email me first one with the money gets it. and u can get some dsm injectors for around 50-75 bucks so for under 200 buck you have a great set up

Re: When do you upgrade injectors? (bmcc72)
So what does the afc hack do? Thank you for the info bmcc. I also have a 12:1 fmu and inline fuel pump and a fpr. Will these have any effect on the injectors or how they would work? I have the inline hooked up to a switch so its not on all the time. Actually its never on, just in place and working for turbo time. With the 450's is there an extra step I would have to take? I've heard of people having to wire something in with these, what are they talking about? I may be confusing that with something else.

Along with the other thousands of posts on the subjects you mentioned, not trying to be a dick or anything but really - key word in search "afc hack" , "smc faq" or hell "smc" and "blue box". Once you search, its ok to actually read the results.
Had to get that off my chest, anyway for your setup get dsm 450, smc500 (comes out in a few days if its not out yet) or smc plus.
You can find them in the fs forum or
http://www.dsmtrader.com
http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~ecg/ respectively. If you have any other questions feel free to ask , sorry I came off as a jerk, but damn.
