can I use RX7 injectors with the hack? I think they are 450's. Just wondering if I HAVE to use DSM's.

um, why? many people use them with the afc and they work perfectly fine...

as far as rx7 injectors go, are they primaries or secondaries? from what engine etc...they have two sets of injectors

RX7 turbo II injectors are 550's I believe not 450's. Correct me if I am wrong.. 550's are too large to use the hack I think

why are they too large to run the hack? Do you know why you stated that?

There is a sweet spot when doing an AFC hack with stock MAP sensor that makes 450cc injectors just about perfect. You go with the 550's it's gonna work well, but your idle will be dumping some fuel. Probably foul plugs regularly. You could, of course, buy a chip burner and learn how to tune in your idle pulsewidth, but not many people seem interested in learning something - they expect their dollar to solve all problems.

On a side note... There are two schools of theory on the AFC hack bucking - the first is that it's caused by advanced ignition timing associated with the hack. I know this is the case for OBD0 cars. I have three cars locally running this hack with custom chips I have burned to correct their timing and they do not buck.

Uberteg maintains that there is code (in the P75 anyway, which resembles a P72's code closely but has much less in common with P06/P28/P30) in OBD1 ECUs that throws you to idle settings when the MAP voltage goes below a certain voltage, and that you're jumping back and forth between idle and cruise fuel/timing at certain med-high vacuum cruise conditions.

Bucking is a bad thing. when I would let off the gas it would feel like it was down shifting without giving any gas do to the lack of fuel. the afc hacks are notorious for this.

If your car bucks when you downshift, then you need to learn to rev match
