h-t afc hack info
hi all im gonna be turbo again in the next week or so and i was wondering where do i set my hi and lo throttle % what does it mean i will be using rc 370 on a 95 lsvtec and i want to boost like 10psi i know that i should go 35% across the board but what doe the hi and lo % throttle mean please help
i was wondering the same about the hi n lo, but if you're going to run say -35% accross the board on both , i'm guessing it wouldn't matter where you set the hi lo, throttle settings since they'll be running the same amount of fuel? i've been running the hack for a lil over a month and am still trying to fully understand this system as well.

hi i am new to this board and i live in New Zealand.
I own a facelift da6 integra JDM
with a b16a2 engine which uses the OBD1 PR3 ECU
I have just bought a homemade turbo kit which came with a field hyper R fuel controller
1.can this controller be used to trick the ECU into thinking it has a low voltage for the map enabling me to run boost or is the VAFC the only way i can do it???
It would also be good if they made a ROM chip for a OBD1 PR3 to run boost !!!!
2.also we do not have eclipses here in N.Z but we have VR4's which has 4G63T's in them can I use the injectors out of those and a fuel pump out of one too??
3. so i can go down to the wreckers and get a resister pack which came OEM factory off a 89-91 crx or anything pre obd???
please help as i want to run boost on my engine. i have also noticed that ignition timing does not seem to be of great importance in this thread, does it not matter when running 8-9psi. how much is a MSD ignition retarder, sigh if only a rom chip could be burnt for ignition and fuel all would be solved

so where are people setting there hi and lo throttle settings at please help mine is set at 10% and 50% what the hell should i set it at if im running the 370 and do i neeed the resitor pack
so let me get this straight... Yes i read the whole damn post so dont go ballistic on me... I get the Safc install it exaclty like im supopsed to... run dsm 450 or RC440 or 370's whatever as long as there big enough.... set the fuel the EXACT same all the way across the board and the ecu will adjust itself for boost? and what the deal with the timing issue... and how smooth with it run.. and i read someplace else about losing power topend... I have an H23 to top end is jusy 6300rpm anyways but still, i dont want it dropping really hard before that. who has been running this for a long time with no problems and tell me exactly what you have done... did... any preludes runnin this?
yea im still kinda concerned with the part throttle detonation deal. well you figure you wont be part throttle @ rpms such as 5.5-8k rpms or whatever but for part throttle cruising i guess i would just richen it up a bit under 5k to compensate........... is that a good idea??

liam, here's a question: see if i have this right for 370's
at 450's you set your car at:
1-4k -40%
4.5k -38%
5k -36%
5.5-7k -35%
that makes for your 450's being at:
1-4k 270 (450x.60=270) (if your at -40% then your running 60%, right?)
4.5k 279 (450x.62=279)
5k 288 (450X.64=288)
5.5-7k 292.5 (450x.65=292.5)
then the settings for 370's would be:
1-4k -27% (370x.73=270.1)
4.5k -24% (370x.76=281.2)
5k -22% (370x.78=288.6)
5.5-7k -21% (370x.79=292.3)
is this right?? or at least somewhere to start?? i'm using an emanage with a profec e-01, which is actually tunable every 100rpm's, and i want to start experimenting with this hack. do you think i'll throw a cel because i'm at only -27% - -21% even though it seem to be the injector equivelant, or do you know?

Hi Liam,
I read your article about V or S AFC hack with all yours figures and I would like to do the same setup.
I have just a question about that.
How do you set your boost level with your setup ?
Thanks for your reply

You lack even basic high school comprehension of simple math and how to apply it to real world problems, liam. No, DSM 450cc injectors are 87% larger than Honda 240cc injectors. Isn't it about time you stopped pretending to know anything about this subject? </TD></TR></TABLE>
lol you know...you're right
Its been awhile since i was in math class.
this better
(b - a) / a = c , where a = orginal injector size, b = new injector size, and c = percentage larger.
ie
(450 - 240) / 240 = 0.875, 87% larger
To find value needed for the afc you use the same formula..only swap around the injector sizes..
(240 - 450) / 450 = -0.4666 or -46% (although id add 10% on top of that to keep the honda happy under boost)

on your equation to get the percentage to set the afc at, what setting is that for?? i don't have an actual afc, i'm trying to do the equivelant on my emanage and profec e-01. all the settings are labeled something different and everything is in a different place.
i understand to go in and set the different values across the rpm range, reguardless of throttle body position, but is there anywhere else you need to change settings? is there something about setting the "trim" to -whatever? and what is the trim?

Sorry if I was an asshat, liam, I was going through ***** withdrawl.
