Default GT35r Coolant lines issue

Hey h-t I have a GT35r thats dual ball bearing and water cooled. I read up 50/50 on people running coolant and people not. This is my daily for now so want to keep my turbo's life long as possible. My problem is that i want to tap into the IACV but which one? I bypassed the TB line cuz im running a blox 72mm and doesnt have a port for coolant so had to bypass it. I know this has been covered but never found a solid answer with a bypassed tb. Which line should i tap for feed and which line for return? I have a b16 head and seen where the top rad hose goes there is a nipple caped off could i use that for a return and use the IACV for a feed?

You must run water lines with a ball bearing CHRA. it's mandatory.

without them the CHRA gets too hot leading to premature bearing and seal wear and ultimately failure of one or more components

I was unable to use this kit on my GT30R. My turbo faces to the passenger side and blocks the big plug.

I used the feed from the mani fold for the tb and the feed from the water neck to the iacv I bypassed the iacv and throttle body ... But since I have a stock tb I had to make a plate for the bottom of the tb where the coolant goes thru My turbo also blocks the freeze plug in the front if the block

Essentially ur just running ur turbo inline with the coolant lines of whatever so

Before:
water neck --- iacv ---- tb --- manifold

After:
Water neck ---- turbo ----iacv --- tb --- manifold

Bypassing the tb in the ops case

That's the standard version. its a bit easier with the GT banjo fitting version. I'm refitting my lines to use the banjo as well due to the shorter width of the CHRA of the GT30R and GT35R

I also find that certain manifolds, (regardless of the direction of the compressor cover) may not allow the use of the block adapter fitting. For example, Revillusion's BRMS "Ramhorn" manifold didn't allow the use of the freeze plug adapter fitting also.

So, it depends.

Normally any passengers side placement turbo maniold won't be able to use the front block fitting for a water line to the CHRA. at least not with a t04e or larger compressor cover. also the turbine housing design plays into this as well.

It's been done. It just depends upon the company and the manifold.

Example.

Spoolin's "miniram" A/C compatible manifold with GTX3576R. That had room for it. But if going for the ball-bearing, I do recommend the banjo fitting kit and not the standard for ball-bearing units.

Well yea with a miniram. anyone using a log or cast mani will have a bitch of a time.

although I have been drawing up a new block plug that would accommodate any turbo placement and use of water lines from the front plug. it'd be easy to machine and coat in bulk too. I could put it on a lathe with an autobar feeder and run 24/7. I think you'd like it
