Re: GT3251E vs GT28RS (lsvtec225)
I'm going to be running a GT3255E on my stock ITR motor this season. It should get here from Speed Trapp Consulting (STC - TheShodan) on Thursday!
It typically makes around 320whp @ 9 lbs. of boost on a B18C1/5, and is efficient into the mid-400's. Plus, the price is RIDICULOUSLY cheaper than a GT28RS.
PM TheShodan, he should be able to help you out.

Man U FTW
you're a trial member still...that's why you cant PM him just yet.
Both BoostinCoupe and I have the same turbo...the GT3255E which is what you should order rather than that GT3251E which is normally used on LS and B16A engines.
I already have my GT3255E Fnan ...lol
The GT3255E has a few key benefits over the GT28RS....for one, its cheaper. The GT3255 is usually less than $800 (depending on your options) whereas the GT28RS is around $1100. Another downfall of the GT28RS is that IF anything was to happen to either wheel, the entire BB CHRA needs to be replaced because the wheels themselves cannot be changed. That means a rebuild is going to cost much more than a journal bearing turbo.

Personally I'd say the GT3255E, but I'm no consultant.
Email them: speedtrappconsulting@yahoo.com
Tell them boostincoupe and Schister66 from Honda-Tech sent you...they'll hook you up

I'm not complaining about the Shodan or anything but I ordered a gt3255e from him about a year ago and received a sc44.I went ahead and used the turbo anyways.I had it coated by him also and would def recommend it.It looks great and has held up really well.

...did you even bother to tell him? How could you tell it was a SC44 and not the GT3255E you ordered?
BTW, they're pretty anti-Precision turbos from what I've gathered. Something about the amount of nickel or iron in their housings...who knows, I got a D+ in Physics freshman year

You've received PM. Please let me know your order. We typically don't sell as much of the Precision line unless it is specifcally requested.
*EDIT* spoke with dc2turbo. He did order a precision Sc44 on a special order. Now going for an Inline Pro T4 SS manifold. Great talking with you.

Re: GT3251E vs GT28RS (lsvtec225)
Dont want to sound like a thread jacker but Ive just finished my setup. Stock b16 GT28RS 7-10psi, not tuned yet, dont know what kind of numbers to expect. After searching for weeks decided that this is the way to go for street racing.

Don't get me wrong here. Especially for most of the Honda camp, the GT28RS is still a great way to go for a turbo setup. This is really not a "which is better" turbo scenario. Both work well for their functions. Sometines, though additional equipment (ie. waterlines, fittings, and CHRA) can be a factor in making a decision for a turbocharger setup. Don't just look at the "numbers" of the setup that you're trying to create, but also look at the purpose and response that the turbo may give. HP numbers are ot everything sometimes when it comes to a good turbo Honda. With the right setup in some cases, you can even utilize a bit less power, and still have an extremely responsive, enjoyable car that keeps its "fun" factor than perhaps some of the larger street monsters that have been created over the last couple of years.
