Default GSR Rev Hard Turbo Civic DX question.....

I'll soon be putting a Rev Hard Stage II turbo kit on my GSR Civic DX. I want my engine to last me the life of the car. I don't have money to keep buying new engines. My car is a daily driver and I put approx 3000 miles on it a month.

2 Question:

#1 - What I want to know is....if I set the boost so that I'm putting 250hp to the wheels if that will kill my engine or will my enging w/turbo last the life of the car w/o dumping TONS of money into it?

#2 - From what range of hp to what range of hp will be safe to set it at and not be hard on the engine?

Thanks

Building a turbo car or any car for that matter should not be done on a set budget. You will never be able to abide by it. Whether you wanna face it or not an engine rebuild will be required at some time, but with good tuning and turbo/fuel components your car can run for a long time with no problems.

Your car can only run as good as your tuning is

Just thought i'd share my experience with the revhard kit. I had the kit on my GSR powered civic VX hatch back in 97. Daily driven, and driven HARD all the time. I put the kit in myself, and on the dyno at 9lbs it put down 275whp and that's what i drove at for 5 years. I never even bought a boost controller. After a few years though, the manifold started to crack. Other than that, i never had any reliability issues...stock ecu/stock injectors/ fmu/ inline pump... that's my .02.. i now run an inlinepro mani./sc61 though

It seems like rev hard mani's are known for cracking. Even though you now use inline pro mani, is everything else still rev hard?

Is your car tuned? If so, what system R U using?? Hondata, AEM, Uberdata.....???
