Shall I turbo??????!

Shall I turbo??????!
What are the pros and cons of turboing a gsr? I really wanted to turbo my gsr, but I have heard from many people that I will blow my engine so fast so it will be a waste of money. I would like to know how bad it would be for my car to turbo it so i can make a decision, thanks.

Pros = Power and speed
Cons = If not tuned correctly you can cause engine damage.
keep in mind a properly tuned engine will last a very long time.

um
turbo pros= car go fast. car go really fast.
cons=if your a retard you will blow your engine fast. if you take care of it, the car will last just as long as stock. but dont go running to redline everytime you hit the gas or trying to see how fast the car will go with a turbo. more cons are you need to baby the car a little more. but the pros outweigh the cons

Pros: Blow off valve, wastegate dump, fast car, sexy intercooler, beat other cars your normally wouldn't.
Cons: Never have money again, if you don't tune you'll blow your **** up for sure, cooling the car down, turbo timer or not, more risk of theft unless its 100% stealth.

I'm here in Az, havn't had any problems running 7.5 psi all summer (110-115ish temps). I'm intercooled of course (I'd be afraid to run it without an intercooler). Yep, nothing like Arizona where you can run your car for 20 minutes and turn it off at 8am, come back at 5pm and still have the coolant temp be 150 degrees. :-P

lol. Yeah all kinds of expenses will start popping up. For one, you'll start noticing you'll be going through tires faster .

tuning is key, you can't take the easy way out when you put a turbo on.
there are many safe ways to do it, you just have to be attentive to your motor/guages at all times and take all precautionary measures.

If you're so worried about blowing your engine don't do it.
If you keep it at 6psi and don't boost all the time you'll be fine. Expect to pay at least 10k by the time you are FULLY set up. I'm about halfway there now...talking expense wise. Its the idiots that throw the turbo on and start boosting at over 15psi without giving the engine proper treatment, i.e. warm ups, cool downs, frequent oil changes, that give turbo'd cars a bad name. You're going to have to learn to listen to your car for any funny noises, check your oil constantly...bunch of things to get used to. But hey...it is TOTALLY worth it.
