greddy type s bov question
I bought this used and just wanna make sure it's working properly. I've searched on here but never got a clear answer. Anyways when the car is at idle is the valve supposed to be open a little "like in the pic" or should it be completely closed? When throttle is pushed the valve pushes down and closes. Then when throttle is lifted it goes back up and releases air. I'm assuming this is how it should work. Also I keep reading about adjusting it. Mine flutters under light boost but sounds normal under full boost. 12.5psi
Last thing has anyone ever done the single spring mod. I saw it online and a lot of evo guys do it but I don't know the benefit of it "if any" so I'm trying to figure it out. Would it be something worth doing to mine. Thanks in advance.

Re: greddy type s bov question
If you adjust it to be closed at idle (more spring pressure), that means it will actually open slower. People with factory turbo cars have done tests, and all bov's that stay closed at idle will lead to low-boost flutter.
You can hook that bottom nipple to pre-throttlebody boost. Combine that with more spring pressure, and it will stay closed at idle but still open when there is any boost left in the charge pipes.
