Default Greddy turbo problem

I just put a greddt turbo kit on a 96 civic with a obdI conversion. The electrical system pulses. As in, the lights fade bright to dim in a pulsing manner. Ive unplugged the Alternator speed output connector on the back of alternator and it stopped it. What is causing it to happen? A short, a ground, etc etc. Currently the Greddy blu box is not hooked up cus inm not taking it above idle so it recieves no boost. Im just checking for oil leaks and any electrical probs. Anyone know why this is happening.

night_minx's brother.

Last time he blew an alternator fuse and the car exhibited the same problem. As mentioned he does not have the blue box hooked up. We just have the car run at idle.

when i had my '98 civic, i was having the same problems you were having and i took it to honda, and they looked it up on the computers, and some people were having problems with the altenator failing/not working properly. They replaced it for free. i dont know if this is the same solution for you, but this is what i did. I did not have a turbo installed, so i dont know if we are in the same boat.

hope you find out

eld? i think is what its called...there are electrictal load sensors that tell the alt how much current to produce. there are fuses for this circuit, usually the under the hood fuse box. also the problem can be inside the alt itself...just try swapping them around, or have urs bench tested at like autozone, napa etc...

I ditched the bluebox and went with an FMU and Missing link...then again I was also using the stock injectors.
