Default Greddy Turbo Owners Look Here....Does your boost spike, then drop down in two stages?

i have a b16 with an 18g tuned with uberdata. When i start to boost, it spikes to 9 lbs. then it drops to like 8. then down to 7ish and it holds there. why does it drop twice? does it happen to anyone else?

I've always been able to hold boost exactly where I set it. I had a MBC and I set it at 13psi and it would hold all the way to redline. Now I've got a profec b spec II and it's set to 15psi...holds strong all the way.

Mine (15g) peaked at 6 psi, then dropped to 4 psi by redline.

I was on stock exhaust piping at the time. Now, with a 2.5" catback and testpipe no more drop problems

I've got a 2.5-3" DP, full 3" exhaust with no cat...Semi built motor with Cp pistons, eagle rods. I'll be hitting they dyno next week.

i've got a 2.5" flared to 3" downpipe with my greddy kit and i spike to 9psi and the drop back down to 7. only does it at initial throttle and also only for a split second. have yet to figure out a way to prevent it. i'm also using the greddy profec b 2.

Sounds like the wastegate. It's possible it could be the downpipe though.
