Greddy Turbo Kit Install Help
I am installing my greddy turbo kit with greddy intercooler on my D16Z6. I am running it with the engine stock...no changes whatsoever. What precautions can I take to run my turbo without blowing up my engine? How much boost should I go? Say if I can only go about 8psi's does that mean that I can't do redline? Help meeeee!!!!!

If you stick to the out-o'-the-box 5.5 psi, no other things are necessary; just run the blue box w/ a bigger fuel pump, and you'll be okay. Do that setup for awhile and then see how much farther (further?) you want to go. And there are those who say you can go up to 7-8 psi on the GReddy FCU with stock injectors/rods/pistons/headgasket/etc. I personally wouldn't want to go over 7 on the blue box, but a lot of people have pushed it pretty far w/o trouble. The longevity of the motor I don't know about, though ... at 8 psi on the blue box, I mean.
And you can still redline at 8 psi or 10 psi or 2 psi. . . . Your motor may not like certain amounts of boost, though, but it doesn't mean you can't redline.

Precautions? Depends on how much you want to boost. How much you want to boost depends on your wallet.

Right now I have the greddy turbo kit in my 1997 Civic EX. I've heard that running the out of the box greddy turbo should be fine as long as you keep up with your oil changes, etc... So far I have run my greddy turbo kit for 3000 miles and it is doing just fine. Go here for help or more info....
