Default Greddy Blue Box

I purchased the Greddy Turbo kit for a 96-99 GSR. The thing is I have a 94 LS. Don't ask my why... it just turned out that way (cost and there isn't a kit for the obd1 LS). So now I have a Greddy blue box, which I'm thinking is the non tunable version of the E-manage that adjusts the fuel curve and stops the check engine light from coming on. Problem now is that the blue box is set for an OBD2 GSR and I don't have one so my check engine light still comes on after a couple seconds of peak boost. Doesn't go into limp mode, but it doesn't run well. I have an AFC but can't really tune it until I go to the dyno and I have a missing link which I purchased years ago. My question is.... Do I install the missing link and chuck the blue box? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks

I had the same problem using the OBD2 blue box on an obd1 ecu. I would get a cel at peak boost then my rev limiter would be at 4k until I restarted the motor. The CEL code I got was code 16 which is injector failure. Best thing for you to do is to see what the CEL code is and if it is code 16 chuck the blue box and use the missing link.

I've checked the code and it was a 3 which is the map sensor. My rev limiter didn't go down to my knowledge. The check engine light goes away after I turn the car off and restart the car.
