Start with the simple stuff. Thermostat, kinked hoses, fan fuse, etc.

This happen to me a couple of days ago.... when I would stop at a light or anywhere for that matter my car would get hot. I noticed when I turned my car off i could hear a hissing sound. I looked under the hood and it was the top radiator hose... it had a small hole in it and it was leaking all the fluid out. I changed the hose snaped the clamps back on, no problems since then. Im not saying this is your problem, but just something you should look at.

bleed air and add some water wetter or a couple drops of hand/dish soap.

are you losing any coolant? then look for a leak. if you can't find a leak, maybe bad head gasket. if you're not leaking, check thermostat, fan switch, etc. some people wire the fan to run all the time. i'd flush it out and make sure there are no air bubbles in it.
