Default Got a question before starting motor up!

I'm about to start up my car for the first time with the built motor in it (Bought the block with 1500 miles on it), and the head was rebuilt with Supertech valve train and new valve seals. Now the block is already broken in, of course I will have to get the oil pressure up before starting it, Do I need to worry about the lubrication of the rod and main bearings before starting? I just don't want to mess a bearing up.

And my last question is, can I start the car with just a header and no exhaust?
I will have to drive it to the exhaust shop after it get's going and we look it over for any leaks or any other bugs. I guess I just need to know if it will hurt anything on the engine starting it up open header?

Thanks for the help, Mike
