that explains ball bearing more clearly, and sort of makes me want one, but 500$ for a ball bearing upgrade? Is that worth it?

thanks ben that was really helpful. I was just wondering(and this is for anybody that knows), how does an FMU play in all of this? Is an FMU like a air/fuel ratio regulator(is that one of the functions of the Apexi VAFC)? I keep reading other users refer to an FMU being 12:1, what does that mean exactly?

i think it means for every 1psi of boost, 12 psi of fuel is used, i think, someone correct me if i'm wrong

A FMU is old 70's turbo technology that is used to richen up the fuel mixture. FMU's come with a rise rate ratio like 12:1, 10:1, etc... Now lets say you have an fmu with a 12:1 ratio which means that for every "1 psi" of positive pressure it will increase the fuel pressure 12psi. Then you would add the total fuel pressure to the idle pressue.
P= psi, pressure, boost
(12 X P) + idle pressure= total fuel pressure
P = 8psi.
Idle pressure = 35psi
12 X 8psi=96 fuel pressue
96 fuel pressure + 35 idle pressure = 131 fuel rail pressure.
P= psi, pressure, boost
(12 X P) + idle pressure= total fuel pressure
P = 8psi.
Idle pressure = 35psi
12 X 8psi=96 fuel pressue
96 fuel pressure + 35 idle pressure = 131 fuel rail pressure.

thats helps a lot but how do you know which injectors to choose for sizes? Also where would I read or get the reading for idle pressure? Which gauge thanks.
