please help w/ vacuum line setups
specifically for a greddy turbo..but im pretty sure its the same deal w/ other kits...
i need to know how you have your vacuum lines set up? heres my situation... i had the vacuum line from the actuator t'd into the fpr vacuum line...very bad..i got this weird *** machine gun sounding noise! turned out the fpr vacuum line is too weak i guess.
so the actuator is t'd into the aib check valve..and t'd into that is the bov..and t'd into that is the boost gauge... and ever since my bov sputters (im guessing not strong enough vacuum/too many things t'd off in one source?)
any other vacuum sources i could tap into? the map sensor on top of the intake manifold perhaps? pics would most definately help
btw..its a type s which is suppossed to be a quick high pitched whistle, right? cause mine flutters and then whistles
TIA

I have my Type-S, Boost controller, and boost gauge all tee'd off of the EVAP purge valve on top of the manifold. And my FMU is on the fuel regular, but you dont have a FMU so I wouldnt worry about that. My type-s does flutter then a big sneeze.

hot damn shet...i never took off the intake manifold diagram on underneath my old USDM hood... anyone have a pic? thanks
arturbo--so yours flutters also? im not sure wat its suppossed to sound like 'cause the only other type ive heard another type s was off an eclipse..and it was a quick whistle/sneeze w/o any flutter

Re: please help w/ vacuum line setups (SagaGSR)
Saga,
The Eclipse's might sound louder with their BOV cuz they generally boost more psi than the avg Honda/Acura with a turbo kit. They boost around 15+psi (on a small turbo) and that amount of pressure makes the BOV sound louder. They could also be adjusting the BOV to a harder setting...which isn't smart.. but that is only a guess/possibility.

tightening/loosening the bolt on the blow off valve will change the sound quite a bit.....just messin with
mine i found i could get 3 very different sounds out of it.....just be careful not to tighten it too far

I use the IAB connection at the back of the intake manifold and made a T connection there for the boost gauge and my HKS BOV.
