Golden Eagle headgasket and block problem...
I am just putting the finishing touches on my sleeved and built 2.0 engine before it gets installed into my hatch this week. I just found a little problem though. I was rushing things trying to make sure that i would have the engine assembled. I installed the headgasket upside down. I used copper spray, and torqued everything down in sequence per Golden Eagle's specifications. I need to pull everything apart and flop the headgasket over and redo everything. I wanted to make sure if the headgasket can be reused. I have done something similar on a stock engine awhile ago when i was rushing things, and everything turned out ok. So reuse the gasket, or get another one?
I would just buy another gasket to play it safe..
Once the motor goes in the car it is more of a pain in the *** to change..
Just my .02 though

I did the same thing to my Civic awhile back. I started the car though and it proceeded to pump about 2 qts of oil on the floor in about 20 seconds.

I wouldn't reuse the gasket. Get a new one. That's what I did (after a lot of cussing

yes the gasket can be reused. just spray again with coper and flip it
i did the same thing. installed my inline pro gasket upside down, started the car and oil shot out of the side of the block!! like it was taking a ****! i just sprayed it and flipped it and it's still fine. you should be ok.

I just called Golden Eagle, and spoke to I think Vince or Ted not sure exactly who. They said it would be fine since the headgasket hadnt had heat applied to it yet. I am just going to give it a try. BTW, the golden eagle headgaskets that are overbored are 105.00 shipped, so its not a 50.00 headgasket.
