Going a different route need a couple answers?
At first I was just going to boost my stock ls in my ef I have everything to go boost but now I decided I want to rebuild the motor.
At first my goals were 280-300hp but if I rebuild my motor and I put acl bearings with arp headbolts ( leaving the rods and pistons alone ) maybe I will do the crank bearings also. Im wondering after this if going up to 350hp will be safe and reliable? Also im replacing the valve seals. One more questions will I have to break in the motor off boost? or can I break it in with boost and just shift like at 2500-3krpm

^ that doesn't answer my question. Its my dd and ive seen stock ls just headgasket change and arp head bolts and they have been running 3 years strong and are still going. I just need to know if with this rebuild plus acl bearings if I will be able to go to 350hp reliably

adding those components don't change the integrity of the rods and pistons that will be experiencing added cylinder pressures. You would have been fine just completely stock. 350whp on the stock pistons / rods still administer the same risk.

^ all I needed to know thanks (y) im just going to stay at 300hp then. I cant run stock because Im burning oil slowly but with no smoke. So I suspect valve seals. anyways I rather replace it just because the motor most likely has over 150kmiles.

Leave the motor alone. OE bearings are better than acl bearings in the sense that there sized to have perfect clearences ACL is a one size fits all method. Great bearings but just leave it alone. If your not replacing any REAL component then its a complete waste of time and money. Stock LS pistons have been pushed past 300 but for longevity 280-300 is where you want to stay, otherwise dont be cheap and put pistons and rods in the block and you'll be good for 400-500

I agree^^ I don't know why you would tear into the engine just to replace the bearings, you might as well put pistons and rods while you're at it.
