Default Rod and Pistons

So Im planning out my first build. Ive started my research with rods and pistons and wanted to ask about a few things. My goals are a 350 hp Dseries engine and I will more than likely set up with another tune for DD. With regards to pistons what would be good. From what I have researched I should go for a lower compression piston. I know I want to go with Alpha series rods and possibly some non-oversized CP pistons. Good or Bad?

depends on the condition of the block, but I would suggest going .5mm oversized and machining to know the block isnt tapered. Pretty much any aftermarket rod is going to be fine at that level, just make sure all the machine work is good, and the clearances are gtg

Okay cool but those pistons will be okay? Also, I read something about if you buy a thicker head gasket that lowers compression as well?
