Default GEM o-ringing???

i plan on having my block sleeved by GEM but im gonna have a local machine shop finish the bore/hone and set the piston to wall clearance for me. so obviously i cant have GE o-ring the block. do u really think its necessary to have the block o-ringed or should i be perfectly fine without it? this will be for a daily driven 2.0 ls/vtec shoting for around 450whp. thanks in advance

Just curious...Why not let GE do all the machine work if they are going to start on it?
