Gasket for turbo?
so we all know what gaskets are, i think they are a brilliant idea. So i going to be using a inline pro and a gt35e, well to sum it up i thought there was a gasket to go between it. After talking to a shop, he states that the turbo forms its own gasket from all that heat/pressure. well before he told me this, based on Honda Tech i was planning on using a gasket. Do yo guys use gaskets? Do you guys face problems?
thanks
thanks
I would coat both the turbo flange on mani and the flange on the turbo with copper spray and be done with it.
As for the wastegate, from what I've read, the firing ring makes the seal between the wastegate and manifold.
But I used the gasket that came with my wastegate.
Good luck

i dont use a gasket between my wastegate and manifold or my turbo and manifold, no problems here, when i first put the turbo on i used a gaste between the wastegate and it blew out after about 1hr
