Default stupid question time! Yaaay --Turbo to mani, WG to mani gasket Questions...

I read somewhere while searching that you dont need a gasket from the turbo to the manifold, or in between the WG and manifold. Some tool was saying he never used then and they are not necessary... Funny cuz the head to mani has one.

What you guys run? Who sells gaskets if needed?

use a metel gasket from the engine to turbo manifold, but for the wastegate u don't need a gasket they will all just leak, just tightin it real good and you will be fine.

i am using gaskets at both those areas. i got a gasket set from kragen from i think an old turbo thunderbird.

i also had a problem with the gasket blowing at the wg to mani area. the problem was the bolt attaching the pressure line was too big and it hit the valve cover making the wg not seat properly. i shaved it down a bit and never had a problem since.

Run a gasketless setup...you won't be disappointed [if your surfaces are flat].
