Default Is this gasket recommended?

I was just about to order two Fire Ring Gaskets and Tial 35mm Flanges from RoadRace. If I order 5 different gaskets and flanges I get 20% off.

So I thought about getting on of these. Is this needed? I've never seen anyone use it?

Not needed, but there's absolutly no reason not to run one other then cost and taking the time to put it on.

However, as you pointed out, very few people on HT seem to be using post-turbo gaskets, mainly because it dosen't really matter if you have tiny post-turbo exhaust leaks, and even those don't seem to be an issue. They're not for me at least.

Edit: If you want to get a discount for ordering more gaskets, I say buy a second (or even third) wasteflange - those thing's tend go every now and then, so an extra might come in handy down the road.

My mechanic actually recommended and installed one on my car...I don't know if it made any kind of difference though

I have one, it's a very nice piece. I haven't installed it yet, though.
Oh, and you don't have to order 5 DIFFERENT gaskets, just ANY 5 gaskets to get the discount. Hell, just add on some $2 oil drain gaskets to get you up to 5 if you want the discount.

It's pretty substantial, and their service is pretty good, if you can get a hold of them.
