Where to get metal gasket for Tial 38mm??
The damn gaskets that came with it keep blowing out...
I called Cometic, and they weren't quite sure what i was after.
Any help is much appriciated.
(i heard i can just run it without the gasket, but im unsure of this)

I've read that if the surfaces are flat then you can use copper spray. Or if you use a WG gasket maybe a little copperspray on that will help? not sure if either of those are good ideas though.

Copper spray on the gasket will not help if you are burning them up.
Iv seen similar problem with some setups. You just need a gasket with the "fire ring" on it. Lots of company's make them not just turbonetics.
As I said, ATP has um.

Worked great for me running 20+ PSI of boost after I blew out a few other gaskets.

Re: (raceACCORDingly)
The fire ring is between the WG and manifold, I dont remember if it came with one to go between the WG and dumpube. I need one though, the flange on my dumpube is warped so bad I can see straight through it in the middle.

ehh wrong answer try again. most people on here don't run a gasket including myself and i have never had a problem. hmm spend 20 plus shipping on a gasket or just save my money and run without.. i think the better option would be to run without.

Eh you try again, first off learn how to read. The gasket I posted is 5$
Second off running w/o a gasket or at least a layer of copper spray is a dumb idea IMO. I have tried it on 2 or 3 setups and it always leaks a little. Do what ever you want, im not to cheep for a 5$ gasket that is supposed to be there per all w/g instructions.
Id be willing to bet say 20$ that OVER 50% of the setups on H-T use the gasket.
You obviously only need it on the manifold side as its the only one seeing pressure.
And people are getting confused about the fire ring in the wg (IT MUST BE THERE OR THE WG WILL NOT HOLD BOOST) and the little metal ring around the gasket which turbonetics calls its "fire ring gasket".

Or just shoot me your mailing address and I will mail you one in a regular envelope. The ones I have I make outta this grafoil (some chesterton material, I don't recall the exact pn) stuff I have at work. It's presssed carbon sheets with a stainless steel layer inside. I forget exacly the part number from mcmaster, but we use it at the power plant I work at for high pressure steam applications (I'm talking 1250-1500psi, 1000 deg F and ~300 klb/min flow), so it should work fine for a wg. It's great stuff.

if the manifold surface is flat there shouldnt be a leaking problem.
