I picked up a Garrett TB25 from the junkyard off an old Saab 900. It seems to be in pretty decent shape. No shaft play and not to gunked up. This is my first venture into turbos. How can you tell if the turbo needs rebuilt? And where can I find an actual rebuild kit that's not from ebay.

 

you need to balance it after rebuild so if it needs a rebuild just take it to a professional that will also be able to balance the shaft after the rebuild
