are gapless rings worth it???
you need a couple percent of blowby the rings in order to pressurize them and keep oil in the control rings. whatever JE supplies with their pistons seem good enough, stock honda aint all that bad either.
not good for street, they increase wear from what i have read. For track only applications I hear they are ok, but then I also hear that they flutter at high RPM's.

Lets see a show of hands.....how many of you dissing Total Seal rings and the bores honed to their specs?????
Nobody??????
Samething happens on a V8 when you don't follow the directions that come with the rings.

we did follow directions, and they did not work. called total seal, done as we were told, this made it worse. got arias pistons for the arias rings and have not used a drop of oil since. if you feel you must use them,go right ahead, you have been warned.and by the way, they will not refund your money because they will always say it is your fault which is bullshit.

because the peices of **** will not seat.the middle(gapless)ring is so thin it puts very little tension against the cylinder walls and hydroplanes over the oil instead of scraping it off. i had oil dripping out of the exhaust pipe.
I will be obviously using the Arias rings that came with my Arias pistons. Stainless 1st ring and cast second ring with a hella large oil ring (makes the stock honda oil ring look way small).
So anyway the gap Arias recommends is way more than the stock numbers. I'm just wondering if I should be somewhere in between or just follow Arias numbers.
Its a mild street turbo application daily driver.
