Default does anyone make decent piston rings for turbo hondas???

ok... here are my experiences with piston rings so far....

total seal... total garbage... plumes of smoke out the tailpipe and massive oil consumption.

je piston rings... garbage... i go thru about a quart of oil a week...

im tempted at this point to have pistons custom made to fit the factory honda piston rings.

anyone else have experience with this?

Hmmm...I have used JE in a few motors that I have built, as well as my personal car...No problems what so ever. Who is filing your piston rings? what about your method of break-in?

over 1000 easy miles without the turbo for the break-in. the enine was built by aebs which i have 100% confidence in. last year at sema we confronted total seal about the issue with their rings... their reply was... and i quote... "well.. we didn't really do any research on the honda rings" wtf is that?? as far as the je rings.. this is the third motor i have used je rings in... and every time its the same thing. about a quart of oil consumption per week which is totally unexceptable. the amount of oil seeping into the combustion chamber is causing detonation even at moderately low boost levels which makes us have to pull way back on the timing which is killing my horsepower. im getting about 235 at the wheels @ 9psi on a fully built b16a..... about 20-30hp less than it should be. as of right now, im tearing apart the b16... saving the head... and building a bored out gsr block.... so here i go again. i have heard that using stock rings at boost levels below about 20 is ok... but i don't really want to risk it. after talkin with uprd, it sounds like arias might have a solution for me. but... after my previous expericences, i'm just not sure.
