Default Full-Race front mount

Opinion on Back door style intercooler's from full-race good or bad
looking in to getting one but not if there not worth it I have a t3/t4 60-1 turbo
soon to be upgraded was looking at the 650hp full-race F/m

Its a great idea. Only good things can come from it. The selling point's being the better spool time and lower pressure drop.

Just watch the coupler on the turbo/intercooler.

No... Just make sure you have it clamped tight with t-bolts.

I saw an aquaintance that had one. Made around 310whp w/ a GT30 on a stock B16.

I assume it's a good intercooler, but I don't like how it puts the BOV on the oustide of the car. Just begs for thieves to rip the BOV off or tells them "Hey, I have an expensive turbo kit, come take my car!"

Not knocking the product's performance, but I don't like the BOV sticking out of the bumper.

Off the subject but since your there (boostedcivicsir) I like your setup I currently have a Darton Sleeved GSR its all been built right lined honed, bored, balanced, rods fit to the crank, magnaflex crank and rods..Im running stock crank ACL race bearings and have ARP main stunds, rod bolts, Head studs, the rods I am using are eagle H-Beam, Pistons are Wiseco 8:8:1 comp.. 84.5mm the cylinder head is a ported Gsr Head Fearra stainless valves,JG engine dynamic dual valve springs titanium retainers, Stock cams on skunk 2 pro series cam gears, Toda timming belt, intake manifold is skunk2 for now stock T/B. Iam running a ACT 6puck unsprung clutch and pressure plate on stock shaved and balanced 11lb flywheel. Fuel wise I have Aeromotive A-1000 pump and filter on a full-race sump 10an braided fuel line golden eagle fuel rail and aeromotive regulater with Rc 1000cc injectors. Turbo is a T3/T4 60-1 turbo soon to be upgraded. Sorry for listing everything and changing the thread but its all going in my 94 civic coupe with 8 point chrome alloy cage with my 13x8 bogarts on 24.5'' mickys can I hit High 10's with this setup..tunning program will be crome soon to be a better fuel tunning program

It does not matter. It performs optimally there.

yea, it's a nice place to have the BOV since it will basically cool your IC. The first pass will cool the charged air, and when you vent, it will pass back through the IC to cool the core and in a way prevent heat soak. I don't know if it actually works as well as it sounds, but it makes sense.

The one thing I don't like that someone already mentioned was the BOV placement for theif reasons. I love the short piping, but that's just asking for someone to steal it.

thanks alot.

sounds to be all there, i have about 540 whp, and did it on 15" slicks. you will probably go through the clutch, if so switch to a twin disc. youl and your drivetrain will like it. and the fuel pump may fall off at the top, but i did do 540 on a walbro. you should be fine, it is all in the tuning and the driving. if i can hit the 10's on my first weekend, i think you can. i have a friend that just put 645 down with a 60-1.

i have an exedy twin, pedal feel is a little tighter than stock, i don tknow of any stages on their clutches, i am also looking at the CM FX700, people have had great luck with comp clutches also. luis has me thinking about a cm fx700. although my exedy has been great to me so far.

Thats not true with a 90* turn going into the intercooler.
