Who here is running a 14b with a front mount intercooler?
Those of you who are running a 14b (tdo5h) with a front mount intercooler, how did you route your piping from the compressor flange to the intercooler. If you could post pictures, that would be great thanks.

Its just a stupid ******* question, a 14b isnt much different than any other t3 turbo
If your not creative enough to imagine which way to route a simple pipe.....
Maybe if it was a downpipe and you had a pic.... and wanted to retain a/c....

Actually its a lot different from just a average T3. The 14b points directly up apposed to normal t3's that just aim straight down.
I just want to see other people's custom piping routes to get an idea for mine. There is nothing wrong with wanting to see how others did theres.
If you got nothing to say about the topic, get the **** out.

Really? They really face that way?
So you actually cant just loosen the compressor bolts and rotate the housing?
NO WAY!! Its just to dam easy, cant be possible
Maybe I should make a thread about it....
******* SEARCH!!!
Im a noob and I already know youll find lots of info from searching
Unless you need it spoo fed to you

Maybe I dont want to modify the internal WG actuator arm.
BTW: i've tried searching and didn't find what I was looking for

forget WOT
hes being a little inmatture today
first of all, i ported my turbo housing outlet to 1.5" instead of the 1.25" it was
i also took the flange off the stock housing curve that bolts to it, and port matched it
the i went to autozone and got a reducer from 2.25" to 1.5"
welded that to the flange, and used that as the adapter to the turbine housing
from there i used U bends to route the piping around

Thanks USDN 4G VTEC. It looks like my routing is gonna be a little harder since my turbo faces the other way. Either way, I think I can figure out a way to fab it all up.
BTW: Were there any noticable gains after porting the turbo housing outlet?

NO YOU CAN'T
it'd **** up the wastegate's connection to the actuator.
and yeah, maybe you could fab up something to overcome that,
but as he said, he doesnt want to go through that trouble(and yes it would be a pain, I wouldn't want to do it either).
You should quit talking like you know every damn thing,
you're not helping anyone or anything. And personally i'm tired of this "i want to be a honda-tech *******" attitude floating about.
funny how all the people who have been on honda-tech for more than a year dont act that way?

I could get someone to fab it all up for me, but i'm a student with a budget. I plan to just do it all myself and save some money. Thanks anyways though.
BTW: How much does he normally charge for custom intercooler piping anyways? Usually if i need fabrication done, I go to phil from spoolinperformance.

Mine was the same as USDM's. Except I just used a straight coupler and it worked fine when I clamped down on it.
