Default Fuel sufficient or not?

OK, I'm a little confused now. I just read in another post that an B-series engine with high boost won't get enough fuel from four 550cc injectors.. what am I supposed to use then? My plan at the moment is building a B18C with 8.5-9:1 compression.. 1 bar of boost wont be possible with 550cc injectors?

I can kind of believe this, as at 18psi on my D16Y8, i'm maxing out my stock injectors + 88% duty cycle on my four B18C additional injectors..

can someone enlighten me on this?
Some please assure me that 400HP is very much capable with 95 octane gas and the 550cc injectors i have now

I read that too. I was like wtf!! I think that it was a typo from the person who wrote that reply. I was under the conclusion that the 550's would be good for 375+ hp. I dont think you will have any problems with them at all.....

on b18c running c16 & 22 psi we made 405 whp on 550's. the injectors were basically maxed out high 80's to low 90's duty cycle, and that's without manipulating the fuel pressure.

but about your 95 octane... im not sure how confident i'd be at those power levels. i think for the street 300 to 350 whp is plenty.

how much do you think i'd be capable of with the 550cc's? I don't plan on adding c16 to my gas tank all the time.. i'd much rather tune the car with the 95 octane pump gas that we get here. Perhaps I should change them and get something else? I really don't want to be adding additional fuel injectors on this engine, like I had to with my D16Y8...

i think 400 whp is the safe limit for 550's and race gas. while we had room to turn up the fuel pressure on the car we did, i don't think it would have been a good idea because of the fuel pump. if you're running a good pump like an SX or aeromotive, then i wouldn't hesistate, but with anything less like an inline or walboro, then i'd think twice.

i used to run 18-19 psi on my car with 92 octane, and it lasted for awhile. even with the timing very conservative it was on the edge, and all it takes is one stupid mistake to cause damage.

so, i guess the question that needs to be asked is if its worth pushing the motor for that extra 50 or so hp, when anything more than 300 whp is kinda unusable.

well i'm running two mercedes-benz bosch fuel pumps with a small 1L fuel reservoir tank between the first and second fuel pumps (if that makes any sense to you). Any other opinions from anyone else?
