dsm 450 usage?
ok im new to this turbo stuff still im still learning...i did a search for dsm 450's and i found noting to answer my question...my question is..what does dsm 450 injectors do to ur car wehn u run turbo..is there a big difference about it when u put it on? im puttin my turbo in tomorrow and i have a choice to run dsm 450s or not..i need to kno mor einfo about it before i make my decsion help me out thanks everyone
It depends on what fuel management you run. If you have an fmu you don't need them. But if you have a stand alone engine managemt that allows you to fine tune your fuel delivery then you can run bigger injectors. That is the better rought and people mostly use dsm's cause they are cheap. Hope that helps I think you should do some more research on this subject
I don't know if you know this or not, but you can't just take out your old injectors and put in the DSM 450's. You need a resistor box, which you get off an older civic for like $35, and you will need a fuel management system. That can be something as simple as a S-AFC or V-AFC, or a whole stand alone system, which you probably don't need. But if you already knew this nevermind what I said.
I switched from a FMU and stock injectors to a S-AFC and the 450's and it made a big difference. I never did a before and after dyno run, but I could really tell the difference driving.
