Default fuel management

ive had the fmax kit for 2 years now, i think im finally gonna ditch the mf2 and 2 extra injectors.... what route of fuel would you guys go? please dont say hondata, i jus want something simple and that will work...

i was thinkin of gettin RC 440s, Vortech sfmu and a vafc..that good enough? jus get it tuned and i would be ok, right?

There is a groub buy on the hondata right now. $550 for stage 2b. I got a good deal on the injectors from ben@importparts, but I don't know if you could still get them as cheap now. Figure around $300 for the injectors. Long term it's the best route you could go.

i dont know anyone who knows how to tune it...and i have been hearin good things about turbo preludes goin fmu, upgraded injectors and afc....hondata does sound good tho, i guess im jus aimin for cost efficiency, im not going to be boostin alot, thats why i feel hondata isnt really necessary for me

honostly.....i would stay w/ the mf2 its really a good unit. I think if your decently smart, you could tune it yourself if you have access to a wideband and a dyno. Anyone really can, I dont think its that hard.

hondata is def. not cost effecient

the h22/23 can easily be tuned w/ a fmu, injectors, and afc/vafc. most people on here will not agree, but i've seen it done, its easy, and it works well. do you have access to a dyno for an hour??

With a mf2 you're not always going to get proper fuel distribution in all the cylinders. FMU is a definate step up from the mf2 unit. Hondata is not that costly when you add it all up. You pay 400 bucks for a vafc and another 100+ for a fmu whereas the hondata 2b is only 550 and a standalone not a piggy back. You need larger injectors w/ both. Both you'll have to get some dyno time.

No, he needs an OBDI ecu. A P72 or P28 would work.

This is what you'll need for Hondata

P72 obd1 gsr ecu $300 to $450
harness $200
Hondata 2b $550
RC 440cc $285 plus $40 for clips

But do you have someone to tune it for you? Is there a tuner near you?

That's exactly my problem, 1100(need injectos anyway) to run a 550 hondata setup? I really would like to go standalone but I can't afford a 1,000+ now. That's why I'm probably gonna get stuck runny 440's on a V-AFC? Anybody have any other ideas?

Most people don't have that kinda cash laying around. But if you are gonna run more than 15-18psi I suggest a stand alone.

yea dont pay anymore than 300 for the ecu...thats how much i got mine for. (p72 OBD 1) I think the hondata is a good investment. thats about how much i paid for mine,550 for 2b,300 for stock ecu, 250 for tuning,200 for harness, and i got dsm injectors for cheap. (175 w/ clips) but like jinxproof said, he has run 11s w/ the fmu u have...so its all up to you.

What about AEM's new ems. I think that would be the bomb *** soloution. its a direct swap for your cars ecu, so you don't have to get a different ecu or soter anything togethor. Ya, its well worth it.
