Default Fuel feed line

Sorry for my noob question:
When it is recommeded to change your fuel lines to a -8an feed line, does that mean the whole line needs to be changed or simply from the stock fuel filter to the fuel rail?

complete from pump to rail. anything over 600whp i would go with a bigger feed.

putting a larger feed line on with a single intank pump is pointless.

Planning to make between 600whp and 650whp on a gt35r
-8AN is enough for this power level, past 700whp I would need -10

Thanks for the info! Already aware of that though. Current setup is intank walbro255 and now I'm adding the bosch044 inline.
