whats the difference between hotside and coldside?? with i/c pipe and all pls. i got a t3/t4 to4e 5 bolt ebay turbo an plan on upgradeing and want to get the right one. the i/c is stright down to the ground out the side into bumper.

yeah eBay turbos would do that to you .. cold sides look like hot sides and vice-versa .. you probably got stuck with a batch of turbos on eBay with a twin-hotside body and no cold side, its a rare evolutionary thing .. you got to accept it and live on.

 

looking for witch side is witch? any other info would be nice on trim vs a/r like good ratio for sohc

dude pick up a maximum boost book by corky bell and read it. the cold side is generall always an aluminum housing with an outlet that is tube shape. the hotside is the turbine housing and has the 4 bolt inlet where it bolts to a manifold
