Default Freaking Vac. Lines

I, like alot of people, am fed up with vacuum lines and leaks. My car is idling very roughly right now, only pulling about 12-14 in. of vac. after I took out my 6btm (uses a vac. line) yesterday. I obviously have a leak, but the question is...

Does anyone have any ideas on a better vacuum system? Like, a particular type of line/fitting (could go AN-?, but SPENDY!) or what about those Golden Eagle Distribution blocks (similar to those found on Fords )? What do high boost (30+psi) cars do for lines?

Right now I am using regular line with plastic T's, zipties, clamps and even glue in an attempt to make a perfect seal...which I don't have...

Alright, so what is that neat-o thing called or a part #? Their site is HUGE!!!

::EDIT:: Obviously I post that and then find them...they're "manifolds" and you can get one with 6 outlets, black anodized, 1"x1"x4 3/4" for $15 and change. I think I am sold.

what size is yours Graphite?

another option, if you have the time.

Simple tap on the back of the manifold. Will not leak!! Very clean. Just add as many as you need.

yeah, that was a good find man. I've seen them in junkyards, since, but it seems like alot of the nipples are HUGE, so I'm probably going to go with the Mcmaster-carr, however, I'm going to call some hydraulic/air-fitting shops in town and see if I can't pick one up cheaper/quicker.

I don't really want to tap my intake manny because I don't plan on taking it off anytime soon and don't want to open that can of worms since I'm sans garage and beater right now...

That seems to be the same thing you can buy from http://www.Mcmaster.com, but there it's only $15.99, as opposed to $50 for that neat Logo

HAHAHA. Looks like you've got the one bolt tightened to hell and back holding your IAC to the back of the manifold as well, huh?

They call it a manifold. This looks like the one that graphite has; Black anodized aluminum, 6 ports, about 1" wide with NPT threading.

5469K151 $15.66

Probably going to order one this evening. It'll look spiffy!

What fittings do you need with that thing. 1/4" or 1/8"?

You got me. Looks like 1/4", but either way they're NPT, so you can get them at homedepot.

::EDIT::
Kind of related; what does everyone use to secure their lines? Clamps(pinch or screw?), zip-ties?

To be very honest with you guys, I dont remember what sizt they were. I just went into Lowes with a piece of vac. line, found a fitting that worked, then walked over to the tap and die set ect........ You get the piont. Works GREAT and most people think its factory.

And for the IAC and one bolt???? I have a Skunk mani on a GSR. The mani comes with BOTH sets of holes for any IAC. I do have 2 bolt there and they are tightened to factory specs.
