Found an intercooler: How good and worth how much, y0
I found this intercooler that my cousin had on an H22A turbo CRX. There's a receipt inside it for $997 CDN (~$600 USD) Evidently it was custom made by a local speed shop... the fins are a *little* dented in spots, but otherwise it's mint. The welding is beautiful.
Anyway, it measures 18" from the thickest part of the endtank to the thickest part of the other endtank. There's 13" of fins lengthwise, and it's just under 8" tall. It's 3 1/2" deep. The pipes appear to be 1.75" ID or thereabouts.
First - will it fit without massively hacking the bumper?
Second - how much is it worth? I haven't paid a dime yet

you'll probably have to position the endtanks a differnt way. looks like a spearco core. probably worth around 300 - 400 USD looking at the dimensions, just compare the sizes to earl's intercoolers to get a rough estimate.
which car are u putting it on?

It's an 88 CRX Si (B16A). The IC looks really good, it's just freaking deep.

Buy the one in my sig instead!! It will support 450whp and is from an S13 Silvia SR20DET kit.
16.14" x 10.24" x 2.75" with 2.36" endtanks.

I would think the main problem you'll have with it is how the endtanks are and the thickness...fitting an i/c behind a rex bumper is not fun, lol. You definetly wouldn't be able to keep the bumper support with that so you'd have to come up with a way to hold the bumper cover up too.

If you want it I can get a price quote from the owner on it If you guys are estimating $300 USD+ then that's out of my budget right now so I think I'd just sell it for him Dee, unfortunately right now that's out of my budget too If it hasn't sold by about February I'll be all over it though
My main concerns were the depth and the shortness... it doesn't look very efficient as an air-air IC to me... and it's such a weird shape that I can't see how it would be mounted in the bumper without some VERY creative piping.
Anyone else? Tinker, PM me if you're serious and I'll call the owner up tonight
I guess I forgot to mention my goals are about 225 whp on 7psi and sometime after the original motor blows I'll install a built motor to the tune of about 300hp. I'd like an IC that can support that without being overly large.
